Eagles at Bengals

-- Eagles @ Bengals: Continuing pre-season week 2 we have the Eagles headed to Cincinnati. It's week 2 so we'll probably see a little more of the starters, which means we finally get the chance to analyse Kevin Kolbs development with a closer eye. It'll be interesting (to me at least) to see whether they open up the playbook a little more and get Kolb throwing to all corners of the field, or whether they stick it out with Mike Bell and LeSean McCoy on the ground. Defensively I'd like to see a bit more of Brandon Graham in the pass rush and see if Jeff Owens can produce another sack on his way to winning a back up role at DT (I'm rooting for you Jeff). It'll also be a good test of the Eagles secondary to see how they cope with the solid offensive unit that the Bengals bring to the table. Which brings us to the Bengals and their multi-talented attack. They have receivers, a good tight end and an impressive ground game to bring to bear. Again Andre Caldwell and Jordan Shipley continue to peak my interest in the battle to be number 3 on the Bengals receiving depth chart. Defensively we're still yet to see Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap make their mark on the D-line. Given the division they're in, the Bengals linebackers will be important in the coming season and so a strong showing from them against a Philadelphia team that could be play off contenders will go a long way to reassuring Bengals fans that they can repeat their division sweep. I'll be back later to have a look at the result, till then, Have a great day everyone.
